今週のWord of the Weekは「lazy」です. “Lazy” is an adjective you don’t want to be too much of. Not if you want to get things done! So let’s not be lazy and get down to work, shall we?
The “lazy” thing to do would be to say that “lazy” means just one thing, but that would be too “lazy” as well as untrue. Let’s have a look!
- I have a report to finish, but I’m too lazy. (Unwilling to work or use energy.)
- I think I’m going to have a lazy afternoon. (Characterized by lack of effort or activity).
- The result is rather lazy. (Showing a lack of care)
