WOTW: month

今週の #WOTW は 'month’ です。’Month’ is noun with one meaning but that can be used in slightly different ways. Let’s have a look!

- The first month of the year is always full of plans. (Also calendar month, each of the twelve named periods into which a year is divided.)

- The course runs for three months from 7 September. (A period of time between the same dates in successive calendar months.)

- Pregnancy months are counted differently in different cultures. (A period of 28 days or four weeks.)

There is also an informal phrase you can use with the word ‘month’:

- [a month of Sundays] It will take a month of Sundays to finish this report. (A very long period of time.)
