今週の #WOTW は 'problem’ です。’Problem’ is a noun. You know how, in English, we can use certain nouns as verbs, don’t you? Well, this is not one of them. However, you can make up for that shortcomming with the phrases ‘problem’ is part of. Let’s have a look!

:

- I have health problems. (A matter or situation regarded as unwelcome or harmful and needing to be dealt with and overcome.)

- Finding a good job can be a problem. (A thing that is difficult to achieve.)

- Problem behaviour in immigrants is exaggerated. (Denoting or relating to people whose behaviour causes difficulties to themselves and others.)

- If you solve the problems with nuclear fusion, you could win the Nobel Prize. (An inquiry starting from given conditions to investigate or demonstrate a fact, result, or law.)

- I don’t understand this mathematical problem. (A proposition in which something has to be constructed or solved.)

- I’m teaching myself chess with this book. It’s got some difficult problems. (In chess, an arrangement of pieces in which the solver has to achieve a specified result.)
